Hack4Kids at the Made in Luxembourg hackathon
“My son and I really enjoyed the Hadk4Kids event I thought it was very well organized and run.”
“We would just like to say a big thank you for another great event. The kids really enjoyed it; particularly Nao the robot as they have never had access to something like this before. Thumbs up from Zack and Cody.”
The 10th Hack4kids edtion took place on Saturday 9th April 2016 at the "made in Luxembourg" hackathon Game of Code event, Forum Gesseknäppchen. This Hack4kids edition gathered about thirty children aged from 7 years to 12 years old. The event was made of 2 workshops:
- A workshop presented by SECURITYMADEIN.LU dealing with Scratch. Children managed to learn in a creative way how to use this programming language software developed by the MIT.
- A workshop presented by Aldebaran which introduced the little robot Nao and taught kids how to program it with its development platform. The management of the children was done by education professionals and IT security experts (CodeClub Luxembourg/SECURITYMADEIN.LU/Aldebaran).
